Bauchi State Captures the First Gold Medals in the Gateway Games.

The state contingents from Bauchi have won their first gold medal at the current national sports festival in the capital of Ogun State, Abeokuta.

Jehu Habila Thomas scored a perfect score after six rounds of play, and Team Bauchi won the first gold medal in the Chess Team Board 3 event.

Coach Hadiza Yusuf, who led the team to this incredible triumph, expressed happiness and exhorted other state athletes to give their best performances in order to bring honor to Bauchi at the conclusion of the tournament.

With this development, Bauchi state has now won one gold medal in chess, one silver medal, and one bronze medal in weightlifting.

Five members of the state women's handball team have also been invited to the national camp; their names are as follows.1. Ramson Rejoice.2-Helper Stephen.3-Precious Aloysius 4_Gloria Michael.5_Joseph Iyaniwura  According to Ado Tanko, the Bauchi State Sports Council's overseeing director of sports, the camp will open in Abuja after the current national sports festival ends.

Meanwhile, Deltal state continues to lead as of the time of writing.

 The top five states on the medal table are:
1. Delta has 103 medals (44 gold, 19 silver, and 40 bronze), while Bayelsa has 79 (33 gold, 23 silver, and 23 bronze).
3. Rivers has 73 medals (26 gold, 21 silver, and 26 bronze).
4. Ogun has 65 medals—25 gold, 16 silver, and 24 bronze.
5. Oyo has 54 medals (14 gold, 17 silver, and 21 bronze).
As hostilities continued tomorrow, the Bauchi delegation hoped to win medals in gymnastics, danbe, karate, female handball, athletes, and other sports.

Usman Yusuf Danbala, the delegation's leader, expressed confidence that more medals would be won in the coming events.

Danbala requests focus, resolve, and above all seriousness in order to accomplish the intended outcome.

He claimed that motivation and challenge were necessary for participating in sports.
