Gov. Bala Deepens Collaboration, Engages First-Class Emirs in a Closed Door Meeting

In a strategic move to deepen collaboration with the traditional institution, Bauchi state Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed held a closed-door meeting with the six first-class emirs of the state at the government house, Bauchi.

This was disclosed in a press statement signed by the senior special assistant on communications Abdulwahab Muhammad and made available to Journalists on Monday.

The statement revealed that, the meeting, was convened at the instance of the Governor, brought together the following royal fathers:

The Emir of Bauchi Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu, The Emir of Katagum Umar Faruk II, Emir of Misau Alhaji Ahmad Sulaiman, Emir of Jama'are Alhaji Nuhu Ahmad Wabi, Emir of Ningi, Alhaji Haruna Yunusa Danyaya, and the Emir of Dass Alhaji Usman Bilyaminu Othman.  

Speaking to Government House correspondents after the meeting, the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Aminu Hammayo, disclosed that the engagement was part of ongoing consultations with traditional leaders, especially in light of the recent creation of additional emirates in the state.

“The Governor emphasized the need for synergy between the government and the traditional institution to ensure smooth integration and effective governance,” Hammayo stated. “It was a fruitful discussion that reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to preserving the dignity and relevance of our royal fathers.”

Governor Bala Mohammed charged the Emirs to continue operating within the confines of the law and to support the government’s efforts in promoting peace, unity, and development across Bauchi State.

This meeting underscores the administration’s recognition of the traditional institution as a vital partner in governance and community engagement.
