AMEC 2025: JCI Bauchi City President, Wins Star Local President Award in Durban

In a moment of pride for Junior Chambers International JCI Nigeria and the entire Northern region, Tajudeen Taiwo Akintunde, Local President of JCI Bauchi City, has been honoured with the prestigious star local President recognition award at the 2025 JCI Africa and Middle East Conference (AMEC) held in Durban, South Africa.
The star local President award is one of the most coveted honours within the JCI africa & middle east region. It recognizes outstanding leadership, innovation, and community impact demonstrated by Local Presidents across the continent and the middle east.
According to organizers the award is part of a rigorous selection process that evaluates performance in leadership, local organization growth, impactful projects, international collaboration, and alignment with the JCI mission to develop enterprising young leaders for global change.
Moreso, this highly competitive category, Tajudeen Taiwo Akintunde emerged as a standout, having led JCI Bauchi City with passion, purpose, and excellence. Under his leadership, the local organization experienced a renaissance of visibility, grassroots engagement, cross-border collaborations, and sustainable development-focused initiatives, setting a new benchmark for youth-led impact in Northern Nigeria.
Speaking on the prestigious award, the awardee President Tajudeen expressed deep gratitude to his member at the local level
