Anti-Corruption Organization Calls Tinubu to Reappoint Arc. Ochoho for Second Term as Tetfund Boss

In an effort to continue driving tertiary education reforms for a greater high in Nigeria, anti-corruption defenders has commended former TETFUND Boss, Arc Sonny T. Ochoho for exemplary leadership and called President Tinubu to consider and reappoint him for second term in office 

The commendation was made by Nigerian Anti-Corruption Defenders (NACD) in a press statement by its National Coordinator, Leonard Musa issued to Journalists in Bauchi on Monday. 

The organization further stated that the driving educational reforms across the tertiary institutions in Nigeria by the former Executive Secretary Ohocho is a development that has returned sanctity to the sectors 

NACD also commended his performance and technical support provided by the TETFund to all the Universities across the country which has facilitated a conducive academic activities. 

They maintained that, "We unequivocally support his steadfast dedication to delivering on TETFUND's mandate and reject any attempt to distract him from this noble cause." 

According to the Organization, "The Executive Secretary of TETFund has demonstrated outstanding leadership characterized by transparency, accountability and a zero-tolerance policy towards underperformance and substandard contracts." 

It added that, "His commitment to upholding ethical standards and ensuring value for money in TETFUND projects is commendable." 

"Drawing from his extensive experience as a former Permanent Secretary at the Civil Service Commission, the Executive Secretary has doubled his efforts in transforming TETFund into a beacon of excellence in tertiary education funding," It stressed. 

The NACD further acknowledged  that, "His open-door policy fosters transparency and encourages stakeholder engagement, contributing to the credibility of TETFUND's operations." 

It added that, "We are heartened by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's expressed interest and confidence in the Executive Secretary. His unwavering support underscores the significance of the Executive Secretary's role in driving educational development in Nigeria. 

We trust that the President's confidence will continue to be justified as the Executive Secretary steers TETFUND towards greater heights."

"We, the Nigerian Anti-Corruption Defenders, humbly extend our sincerest apologies to you for our initial plan to stage a protest against your leadership. Upon careful consideration and reflection, we have decided to withdraw from our protest plans," NACD emphasized.

The group further conveyed that,"We acknowledge that certain individuals with ulterior motives sought to exploit the situation by sponsoring attacks and spreading false allegations against you. Recognizing their selfish intentions, we realize that our participation in the protest would only serve to further their agenda and undermine the integrity of our cause."

According to the NACD,"Our loyalty to the cause of transparency, accountability, and good governance remains supreme, and we will continue to work alongside you to advance these principles within the tertiary education sector." 

The NACD stressed that, "We hereby reaffirm our vote of confidence in the Executive Secretary and call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to reappoint him to lead TETFund through the RENEW HOPE initiatives." 

The statement concluded that, "His performance and outstanding track record merit continuation of his leadership to further enhance teaching and learning environments and advance human capacity development in Nigeria's tertiary education system."
