Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state says all arrangement has been concluded to procure more vehicles under the Kaura Economic Empowerment Program (KEEP) to improve socio-economic well being of the people in the state.
He made the statement at the 10 quadrennial conference and delegates of the National Union of Transport Workers of Nigeria NURTW Bauchi branch held at the Multipurpose indoor sports hall Bauchi, on Sunday
While inaugurating the newly executive officials of the transport union, Governor Bala Mohammed stressed the need for more collaboration with groups in the transport sector through good initiatives to develop the state rapidly
The governor was represented by the secretary to the state government Barrister Ibrahim Mohammed Kashim said, "As done in the past our administration has concluded arrangement to procure more vehicles for distribution to members of the union under Kaura economic empowerment program (Keep)
Bala added that, "government would find the union very useful in its empowerment and job opportunities policies and programs aim at addressing youth restiveness for continues development"
In his inaugural speech the re-elected chairman for second termof NURTW in office Isma'il Abubakar Babawo, appreciated governor Bala Mohammed for his support to the union and their members across the state, while pledging their unalloyed loyalty and support to present government to deliver throughout the state
