APC Inaugurates Campaign Committee For February Re-run/Bye Election in Jigawa

Ahead of the forthcoming 3rd February Re-run/Bye Election , All Progressive Congress in Jigawa state has inaugurated campaign committee under the chairmanship of the state deputy Governor Engr Aminu Usman.
Speaking during the occasion held at the state party headquarters ,the APC chairman Aminu Sani Gumel Sa'id the February Re-run election is important to the party and is an opportunity for the party to reclaim it's missing seat.
He said that governor Malam Umar Namadi after due consultation with all stakeholders approved the constitution of the Committee saddled with the responsibility to ensure the party win the Re-run election for the Birninkudu/Buji Federal constituency seat.
The chairman campaign committee Engr Aminu Usman promised to mobilized all stakeholders in the constituency where the Re-run election will take place and beyond for delivering the task give to them.
He said, the people of Birninkudu/Buji have confidence on APC and it's candidate as they enjoyed unprecedented dividends of democracy under them, therefore he has confidence on wining the Re-run election.
Other members of the Committee included: Secretary to State Government Alhaji Bala Ibrahim, members state assembly Buji constituency, state party chairman, all Special Advisers and Assistants to the governor among others.
During the 2023 general election INEC declared Adamu Yakubu of PDP as winner of the election for Buji/Birninkudu federal constituency. His victory which was challenged by Engr Magaji Da"U Aliyu of All Progressive Congress.
The election tribunal sitting in Dutse ordered for the re-run election at 8 polling units, The judgement was upheld by Appeal court and mandated INEC to conduct fresh within three months to determine the winner.
The Re-run election is scheduled to hold on 3rd February 2024 in Jigawa state.
