By Adamu IMAM Bauchi
JCI Bauchi City has once again demonstrated its commitment to nurturing young leaders as its 2025 Vice President, JCIN Memb. Emmanuel Sunday, successfully participated in the 27th JCI Nigeria Leadership Academy (LAXXVII).
The week-long Academy, which gathered outstanding JCI members nominated by their Local Organizations across Nigeria, provided a platform for intensive learning, leadership training, and network-building. Participants engaged in practical sessions facilitated by highly experienced Faculty, with the inspiring presence and mentorship of JCI Senators adding depth to the experience.
Reflecting on the transformational journey, JCIN Memb. Emmanuel Sunday described the Academy as a defining moment in his leadership development. “Leadership is not about being in charge, it’s about equipping others to rise, and the first step is being willing to rise yourself. My participation in LAXXVII has been an incredible journey of learning, unlearning, and relearning. I’m deeply grateful to JCI Bauchi City for nominating me and for believing in my potential.
This experience has strengthened my resolve to contribute more meaningfully to our Local Organization, JCI Nigeria, and society at large,” he said.
He also expressed gratitude to the organizers and facilitators, noting:
“To the Academy Faculty, the JCI Nigeria Senate Association, and the leadership of JCI Nigeria, I extend my heartfelt appreciation for creating this platform. The lessons and connections built here will truly outlive us.”
The President of JCI Bauchi City, JCIN Amb. Tajudeen Taiwo Akintunde, congratulated Emmanuel Sunday on his successful completion of the Academy, emphasizing that the Local Organization and the entire JCI community stand to benefit from his newly gained insights.
“We are proud of JCIN Memb. Emmanuel Sunday for flying the flag of JCI Bauchi City at the 27th JCI Nigeria Leadership Academy. His participation is a win not only for him but for our chapter.
The knowledge, skills, and networks he has acquired will no doubt strengthen our activities and inspire other members. We sincerely appreciate the organizers, Faculty, JCI Nigeria Senate Association, and the leaders of JCI Nigeria for sustaining this remarkable platform that continues to raise transformational leaders,” he said.
With the conclusion of LAXXVII, JCI Bauchi City looks forward to seeing JCIN Memb. Emmanuel Sunday leverage his Academy experience to contribute to the growth of the chapter and the advancement of the JCI mission of creating positive change.
