Wikki Tourists Suffers a Narrow Defeat in Nasarawa

Wikki Tourists suffered a narrow 3-2 defeat to Nasarawa United in their second game of the ongoing 2025 Gusau/Ahlan Preseason Tournament in Lafia.

Reacting after the match, Head Coach Abdu Maikaba admitted that while the result was disappointing, the game provided a valuable opportunity to assess newly recruited players ahead of the new season.

This was disclosed by the Wikki Tourists media spokes person Nasiru Abdullahi Kobi and made available to sports writers in Bauchi 

The release revealed that, "It’s painful losing a match, but this tournament is a platform to test new players who are trying to earn a place in the squad, we’ve seen some positives and also identified areas that need improvement," Maikaba said.

The coach also reassured fans that necessary corrections will be made before their next group match against SI14 FC on Thursday.

Wikki Tourists will be aiming to bounce back and continue fine-tuning their preparations for the upcoming NPFL season.

In their first match on Sunday 3rd August 2025,Wikki Tourists defeated Ben Fc of Jos by 2-1.
