Taraba State Police Command Welcomes New Commissioner.

The Taraba State Police Command has announced the assumption of duty of CP Betty Enekpen Isokpan Otimenyin, psc, mnips, as the 32nd Commissioner of Police in Taraba State, effective August 6, 2025.

This is according to a press statement signed by the command's Acting Police Public Relations Officer, ASP James Lashen Saminu, and issued to newsmen in Jalingo on Wednesday.

According to the statement; CP Otimenyin, a seasoned police officer with over three decades of experience, was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force in 1992. 

She holds a BA (Ed) English degree from Delta State University and has served in various capacities, including; Bauchi State Command, Plateau State Command (Divisional Crime Officer and Divisional Police Officer), Edo State Command (Divisional Police Officer and various departments), Assistant Commissioner of Police Administration in Kebbi State and Nigeria Port Authority Western Port, Lagos State, Area Commander in Eleme, Rivers State, and Mbaitoli, Imo State, Deputy Commissioner of Police Administration for Zone 13 Dunukuofia, Anambra State, and Zone 5, Benin-City.

Notable Courses and Memberships obtained by CP. Betty include, Citizenship and Leadership Training Course, Shere Hills, Plateau State, Combat Operations Course, Police Mobile Training School, Gwoza, Borno State, Member, International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), USA, Member, International Association of Women Police (IAWP), USA
