SESHEB Initiatives for Sustainable Development has appointed and inaugurated twenty Local Government Areas (LGA) coordinators to support and transform the lives of the most vulnerable members of various communities in Bauchi State.
While inaugurating them at the Chart Well Hotel, Bauchi, on Saturday, the State Coordinator, Hajiya Baheejah Mahmood Abdullahi, stressed the importance of cooperation to achieve the desired objectives of changing the narratives toward uplifting the communities and ensuring access to basic essential services.
Baheejah further reiterated her commitment to more inclusive and collaborative efforts to help the common man emerge from poverty in all its ramifications.
The State Coordinator maintained that "SESHEB-ISD was born out of a deep concern for the struggles faced by women, children, and marginalized groups. Our mandate is to provide enlightenment, advocacy support services, access to interventions, and platforms for skills development and sustainable empowerment."
Hajiya Baheejah continued, "Your appointment as Local Government Coordinators is not merely symbolic – it is a call to action. You are the heartbeat of this initiative in your respective LGAs. You are the voice of hope for the voiceless, the eyes that see the hidden struggles, and the hands that carry relief to those in need."
"I urge you to familiarize yourselves with our core objectives, build local partnerships, and begin early documentation of the challenges and opportunities within your LGAs," she said.
Adding that, "Let us work with unity of purpose, guided by compassion, integrity, and accountability. Let us build trust in the communities we serve and ensure that SESHEB becomes a name associated with genuine service, impactful programs, and sustainable change."
The speakers at the occasion, Comrade Abdullahi Yelwa and another, challenged the inaugurated coordinators to be fair and just in their conduct for the sustainable drive of the empowerment initiative, as well as the confidence reposed in them, and also to reflect on the yearnings and aspirations of the State Coordinator who appointed them as trustworthy ambassadors of SESHEB-ISD initiatives.
