Bauchi State Governor Commits to Continued Funding of Sports Activities

The Bauchi State government has reiterated its commitment to enhancing sporting activities through consistent funding and the development of sports facilities across the state.

Governor Bala Mohammed made this announcement while launching the 2025 Olympic Day celebration in Bauchi State. He stated that since taking office, the state contingents have never missed any national sporting event and assured that the state will participate in the upcoming National Youth Games scheduled for September in Asaba, Delta State.

The governor, represented by his deputy , Mohammed Auwal Jatau, explained that Olympic Day serves as a platform to encourage everyone to lead a healthy lifestyle, promote Olympic values, and highlight the role of sports in society.

He described sports as an important tool for unifying people, developing youth, creating employment opportunities, and securing scholarships in higher education institutions.
