NANS: North-East Youths Exonerate Seyi Tinubu of Involvement in Leadership Crises

North-East Youth Discussion Cycle (NEYDC), has exonerated Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of any affiliation with the Atiku Abubakar Isa led faction of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS). 

The group declared during a press conference held on Friday addressed by Comrade Amtai Ali Saidu, Secretary of NEYDC, that, "Seyi Tinubu is not part of Abubakar Atiku Isa claims, it is just a defamation of character."

The conference was called to address a pressing matter regarding the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) which has been factionalized with the two sides claiming leadership.

NEYDC stated that,"A recent development has brought concern to our organization. Abubakar Atiku Isa has falsely declared himself President of NANS, despite not contesting or participating in the legitimate electoral process."

According to the group, "He just woke up one day and declared himself as NANS President for a reason best Known to Him."

Amtai Ali Sa'idu stressed that, "As a NANS Comrade, I confirm that Atiku Isa has no affiliation with the organization. He has not in anywhere contested For NANS President." 

According to him, "The legitimate President, Ladoja, won the election through a thorough process, campaigning across 36 states and engaging with student union leaders." 

"We urge the media and security agencies to recognize Ladoja as the authentic President of NANS. Seyi Tinubu, known for his kindness and support to Nigerian students, should not be dragged into this matter," he added.

The NEYDC Secretary stated that, "Atiku Isa's actions appear driven by self-interest, seeking to tarnish Seyi Tinubu's reputation. We demand his arrest for defamation of character." 

He declared that, "We will not allow politicians to exploit NANS for personal gains. Seyi Tinubu is revered by Nigerian students, and we won't let anyone tarnish his image."
