UNICEF Advises Parents to Accept Live Saving Vaccines, as Two Emir's Stood Firm Against Polio

The United Nations Children's Fund UNICEF has advised parents to ensure that all children in Ningi local government area of Bauchi state receives live saving vaccines to eradicate circulating polio virus among the divers communities 

Nuzhat Rafique the Bauchi Field Officer stated this during the flagg-off of polio immunization campaign in Gadar-Maiwa Ningi local council area, that with this approach from the state government and traditional rulers, as well as fathers of good health initiative would definitely kick Polio out of Bauchi state as a whole.

She was represented by George Eki a UNICEF health specialist officer at the event, adding that the vaccination exercise is geared towards the fights against the polio virus and other stubborn diseases as well.

"That our fathers are the ones gives permission we are happy to see that our fathers are actually here today talking to us telling us the benefit of vaccinating our children this is a campaign that we want to ensure that all zero dose in Ningi zero dose in other LGAs we have thirteen of them, we want to ensure that all our children receives live saving vaccines.
The two emir's of Dass Alhaji Usman Bilyaminu Othman and his Ningi counterpart was very committed during the polio campaign awareness at Gadar-maiwa which described as one of the rejected vaccination area of Ningi, and call on all the people of the area to accept the vaccination, to kick out polio in our communities and Bauchi state in general.

Rafique further explained that, taking the leadership role by traditional rulers is a welcome development in this course therefore we have to put all hands on deck to save our children.

"We are indeed happy to see our royal fathers on ground and to see their commitment to see our community our children are fully vaccinated 

It would interest you to know that fathers for good health is actually started here in Ningi, we came here it was what the people in Ningi told us that gave birth to fathers for good health and the reason why is because the women says it is the father that gave instructions here,"

so we want to thank our fathers the primary healthcare development board headed by Dr. Rilwanu thanked for the effort, and we will continue to work with Ningi community and every other one to ensure that our children are safe their protected and we kick out polio, 

The vaccines is free and is safe, and is effective in kicking polio from Bauchi state.
