SOCCER: YA'U Darazo Doles Out N4m Cash, Support to Bauchi NLO Clubs
By Adamu IMAM, Bauchi
It is with considerable admiration that I bring to the fore the noteworthy contribution of Alhaji Usman Shehu Ya'u Darazo (Daddy/Dado), to the tune of four million naira 4,000,000, cash to support Nationwide League one clubs in Bauchi state, a distinguished politician, philanthropist, and President of Darazo Football Academy.
In an unparalleled act within Bauchi's footballing history, Daddy Darazo has elongated significant support to all eight of the state's indigenous clubs participating in the current nationwide league one
Each club, encompassing community-based teams such as Zabgai International FC, Bauchi, Wunti FC, and Kufca Azare FC, alongside privately owned entities like ABJ FC, Adamu Jumba FC, Misau United, Warinje FC, and even government-affiliated clubs, has received a substantial sum of Five hundred thousand Naira (N500,000). This magnanimous gesture, totalling N4,000,000 (Four million Naira) was conferred directly at a recent colloquium on 23/April 2025 reflecting Daddy Darazo's vision for Bauchi State to achieve footballing prominence akin to Lagos and Abuja.
This level of comprehensive support, devoid of partiality, marks a historic moment in Bauchi's nearly six decades of footballing activity. While the beneficiaries have yet to publicly express their gratitude through formally on media.
I, Faisal Ahmad Hassan Akarami, on their behalf and that of the wider Bauchi community, protract our utmost appreciation to Daddy Darazo. We commend his timely generosity and wish him continued blessings.
