2011 POST-ELECTION CRISIS:
Police Arrest Killer Of 6 Corps Members, Others in Bauchi

Suspected murderer of six corps members and a Police woman on duty during post-election violence in 2011 has been arrested by the police command operatives in Bauchi.
State commissioner of police Auwal Musa Mohammed stated this while parading the suspect and others before journalists in the state
"The above-mentioned corps members (May their soul rest in peace) tried to take to their heels while the said suspected killer (Dawa) alongside his syndicate run in pursued of the corps members to their various locations of refuge and gruesomely murdered them one after the other. The syndicate also attacked and broke into shops of traders and carted away valuables, further causing a breakdown of law and order"
"After a manhunt for a decade, the suspect has been arrested, and the investigation is ongoing. After the conclusion, he will be arraigned in court based on the findings of the investigation"
The commissioner of Police mentioned the departed souls corps members as follows:

Adewumi seun paul with call-up no. NYSC/OOU/2010/155553, state code; BA/10B/1301, state of origin; Ekiti State.
Okpokiri Obinna with call-up no. NYSC/AUU/2010/180200, state code; BA/10C/0950, state of origin; Abia
Teidi Olawale Tosin with call-up no. NYSC/ILR/2010/215976, state code; BA/10C/1220, state of origin; Kogi State.
Adewei Elliot with call-up no. NYSC/2011/0144144, state code; BA/11A/0274, state of origin; Bayelsa State.
Ukeoma Ikechukwu Chibuzor with call-up no. NYSC/UNN/2011/077160, state code; BA/11A/1354, state of origin; Imo State".
The suspected master minder Kabiru Musa AKA "Dawa" is said to be a hardened criminal that had for many years terrorizing people of Giade community in Bauchi state.
While fielding questions from Journalist, the suspect denied participation in the heinous act though he confirmed he was in Giade during the crises but did not go near the scene of the crime.
"I swear we didn't do anything in regards to the killings of 6 corps members 2011 in Bauchi, we heard about the crises, but we are not among them, am not involved honestly"
An eye witness Imamu Abubakar a former Police community relations committee PCRC Chairman Giade local government area who was at the Police headquarters during the crises and confirmed that Kabiru Musa was the person who led the mob action that led to the gruesome murder of the corps members including Policewoman after setting police division on fire.
"The suspect set the police station ablaze the whole environment got burnt that time, and the corps members ran outside the police station to hide, and they were over powered and killed by the suspected syndicate group, culprits always denied their actions"
The commissioner of police added that, after a manhunt for a decade, the suspects were arrested and investigation is still ongoing.
They will be charged to court after findings of the investigation.
