State Houses of Assembly, Committed 4 Weeks to Pass Bill on OOSC in Northeast Region

Three states houses of assembly comprises of Adamawa, Bauchi and Gombe has assured to pass a bill aimed at addressing issues of out of school children in the northeast region
It could recalled that recent statistics shows number of out of school children OOSC in the northeast zone is not encouraging despite staggering performance to deals with the menace in the mostly affected states from both the state authorities and the stakeholders as well as partners
Key fundamental issues to compliment these efforts especially retention, transition and completion were discussed extensively in Gombe state where the UNICEF Bauchi Field Office BFO organized a regional crucial meeting with different stakeholders to fine tune how to tackle the problem holistically
Dr. Nasiru Mohammed Ala, member Bauchi state house assembly representing Madara/Chinade constituency katagum local government area and his counterpart from Adamawa and Gombe double as chairmen house committees on education pledged to give their maximum cooperation and support towards passing the bill of action into law within period of four 4 weeks
The bill popularly known as 'state frame work of action on out of school children in Northeast' will be come law in the next few weeks if eventually passed by the law makers and assented by the executive governors of the three states in the region
"We will work with my colleagues to ensure the bill passed successfully and become a law in the state, base on the lawmaking we are going to enact this particular law 3 to 4 weeks maximum this state frame work of action will be passed insha Allah" he said
"and our governor he is very much cooperative and supportive and it Is a very important issue honestly speaking as an academics am not happy anywhere when I hear the word out of school children that is why due to my passion of education, that is why I left Bauchi and be here in order to have a word or two to share with you people"
"there is no problem, there is no big deal in our state assembly we will go there and extend the message to our colleagues" He stressed
