7 Confirmed Death As Philanthropist Distributes Financial Palliatives in Bauchi

In a tragic turn of events, a financial palliative distribution exercise went south in Bauchi state as a stampede that followed the exercise claimed at least seven lives at AYM Shafa's office headquarters along Bauchi Jos road on Sunday 

Bauchi Police command Public Relations officer Mohammed Ahmed Wakil confirmed the additional three after the four announced ealier yesterday after the incident said the surging crowds defied all of control measures, leading to the unfortunate death of the seven people.

What began as a joyous opportunity for these women and children metamorphosed into an uncontrollable chaos when a surge of attendees overwhelmed safety all barriers.

Eyewitnesses reported scenes of people struggling to escape the crush of the crowd with many sustaining various degrees of injuries.

Though emergency services rushed to the scene, before their arrival, the damage was already done.

reports indicate that the stampede was triggered by a sudden commotion near the main gate of the AYM Shafa head office along Bauchi jos road

According to the public relations officer, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching hospital Usman Abdullahi koli, ealier yesterday said the hospital has received quite a number of casualties while the deceased have been handed over to their families, while other receiving treatment

The name list of those departed souls during the stampede comprises old and young female has been released by the police command through certify medical doctor 

1. Aisha Usman 'f' aged 13yrs of Gwang Gwang Gwang Bauchi 

2. Sahura Abubakar 'f' aged 55yrs of anguwan Bauchi

3. Aisha Ibrahim Abubakar 'f' aged 43yrs of kobi Street Bauchi.

4. Khadija isah  'f' aged 8yrs of karofi Bauchi

5. Maryam Suleiman 'f' aged 20yrs of kandahar Bauchi 

6. Maryam Shuibu f aged 16 years Gwang Gwan Gwan Bauchi

7. Hassana Saidu f aged 53 years of Dutsen Tanshi Bauchi

However, the Bauchi police command urge all residents in state to be calm and urged them always to inform police on any gathering of such in other to protect lives and properties of the citizens at all times
