Bauchi Gov. Disowns Circulated Video on School Structure

The Bauchi state ministry of education
has disowned circulated video on social media regarding a collapsed school that has been falsely attributed to schools in Toro local government area of the state recently
The statement was signed and released to journalists by the information officer of the ministry Jalaludeen Usman, and he further clarified that the structure shown in the video is not from any of the state own schools, language or dialect being spoken is not a characteristic of the people of those localities
However, the state government also urged the public to disregard the purported video as misinformation and misleading and does not represent the reality of the educational facilities in Bauchi state.
It is also important to note that the Bauchi State Government, under the leadership of Governor Bala Mohammed, has declared a state of emergency to address educational challenges and improve on infrastructure other problems in the sector
While acknowledging that there are schools in need of renovations and
improvements, the conditions depicted in the video does not reflect the actual state of the schools in the LGA
The ministry furthers explained that, "Infrastructure development is a key priority for the ministry of education, and we are committed to providing a quality and conducive learning environment for students across Bauchi State"
Meanwhile, the ministry appreciate the general publics for their support, understanding and cooperation to further disregard any misleading information at all times
