Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi is set to commission 19 different projects on Thursday 22nd of February 2024 which completed in the last four years, in an effort to boost tertiary education through infrastructure which spread across both Gubi and Yelwa campuses, while 337 students has graduated with first class degree in various curses of the institution 

Vice Chancellor Professor Muhammad Ahmad Abdul'azeez made the discloser at the combined Pre-Convocation Press briefing held at the Senate Chamber Gubi Campus

He says the success of the projects exercise is determined by the co-operation from all stakeholders in the educational sector. while number of invited dignitaries would commission these projects.

Ahmed Abdul'azeez also announced that the institution will conduct it combine convocation ceremony on the 23rd of February 2024 which includes it's 26th 27th, 28th, and 29 combine convication ceremony

Among the dignitaries expected to grace the occasion includes the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, the Governor of Katsina State, His Excellency, Dr Dikko Umaru Radda, the Honourable Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman, the Honourable Minister of Health, Dr Ali Pate and all the three Senators representing Bauchi state.

The vice Chancellor further explained the line of activities during the convication starting On Friday, 23rd  February, 2024, there will be a convocation Lecture, will be delivered by 4:00 pm at the 1000 seat capacity lecture theater, Yelwa Campus. which will be delivered by Professor of Media studies, Umar Pate, with the topic, "Education and Nigeria's National Integration in the Digital Age: 

Matters Arising". The lecture will simultaneously hold along with exhibition from various departments of the University at the same venue to show-case some of our break-through in resarch and fabrication.

The third day of the ceremony will be held at the convocation square of the University at Gubi campus. and It will feature the graduation of four sets of graduands. 

He continue that, "It is significant to mention that we are graduating our first set of 25 medical doctors from the University. we are graduating a combined total number of 19, 252 students"

1. Diploma.....404 graduands 
2. Undergraduates...15,460
3. Post graduate Diploma ..1,653
4. Masters .....1,559
5. PhDs....176

Meawhile, a further breakdown shows the classes of degrees obtained by the combined graduands as follws:

1st Class                  = 337
2nd Class Upper     = 5489
2nd Class Lower     = 7241
3rd Class                  = 1867
Pass                          = 526

TOTAL    =   15,460

Finally, the University Senate has approved for the award of honourary Doctorate degrees to five distinguished Nigerians who will be honoured on the convoation day.
