A head of the by elections in the affected states across the country, the Independent national electoral commision has met with the Inter agency consultative committee on election security (ICCES) in Bauchi, where they mapped out strategy for peaceful re-run elections in the state scheduled for Saturday 3rd February 2024
They made this known in a statement signed by the head of voter education of the commission and issued to journalists on Wednesday prepratory to the forthcoming bye-lections of state house of assembly in four constituencies of Bauchi, Zungur/Galambi, Madara/Chinade, and Ningi respectively
The resident electoral commissioner Mohammed B Nura and his counterpart the state commissioner of police Auwal Mohammed and all other members pledged to work assiduously to ensure security of ad-hoc personnel and election materials as well as voters before during and after the elections exercise
The committee members enjoyed eligible voters to go out and exercise their franchise in electing their representatives of their choice in the four 4 house of assembly Constituencies where the rerun elections will hold
