2023/24 Police Intake: We have been having serious shortfall of personnel-- CP Auwal

Bauchi state Police Commissioner, Musa Muhammad Auwal said we have been having serious shortfall of personnel all over, there won't be a better time to recruit additional police men in this country than now
And now that the authority have decided to this we have to thank them and appreciate by the excellent effort they have put to see that work force Nigeria police has increase and improve welfare package by the grace of God
And we are going to ensure all rules that have been set and standard is being followed without any issue as far as this is concern.
CP, made the statement when monitoring the 2023/24 recruitment exercise of constables at the Yelwa Police training school Bauchi, on Wednesday
Auwal emphasized that nobody is allowed to be at the venue of the recruitment center with any form of money.
"The process for the recruitment of constables as initiated by the police service commission in conjunction with the inspector general of police and the ministry of Police affairs is going on well as you are seeing it", the CP said.
"The whole thing is for us to ensure that there is no any breach of protocol. We want all the processes to be adhered to as directed by the IGP, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun and the Chairman of the police service commission, retired IGP Solomon Arase", he noted
"All people have been warned especially those that are going to partake in the recruitment process that they should shun corruption no body is allowed even to come with money around", he added.
CP Auwal assured that the recruitment process is going to be perfected to ensure that the Bauchi state Command under his watch gets the best for the Nigerian Police.
He said that the recruitment process is in line with the desire of the Nigerian Police Force to have more personnel across the country.
CP Auwal disclosed that now that the federal government has taken the bull by the horns by trying to take care of the personnel strength of the Nigerian Police, it was incumbent on to take the initiative all seriousness.
"This is a very serious welcome development and we are going to support the federal government, the IGP and the chairman of the police service commission to ensure that the recruitment process is corrupt free and straight forward", he added
"The essence of my visit which I will continue to do from time to time to make sure that all the directives given by the IGP and the chairman of the police service commission are being adhered to", CP informed.
While announcing that the Bauchi state Command has already formed a good synergy in the process, the police commissioner expressed delight that there no rancor has been recorded since the beginning of the recruitment exercise in the state.
"There is no any rancor and we pray that God Almighty will see us through in the next coming three weeks so that we will be able to have the best for the Nigerian Police and the Nigerian people as a whole",
