2025 International Girls Child: J4PD Boost Rural School Girls Moral with Learning Material

Barangada community have been urged to allow their girls child to attend schools up to the tertiary level to become proud ambassadors and to compete favourably with their urban counterpart
across the country.
The coordinator of Journalists for Public Health Initiative and Development J4PD Elizabeth Carr, stated this at Barangada primary school as part of the 2025 International Day of a Girls Child in Bauchi.
She maintained that, the idea behind supporting the rural school girls is to aware that there is a day set aside by the United Nations for school girls to remind the government and stakeholders some of their predicament in education and see the areas of improvement to aquire knowledge at all levels.
The coordinator continue that, "when we have celebration of international days focus always in the metropolis, they picks schools that wealth individuals attend, they don't think of schools in the suburbs, so we decided to come to rural communities that is only when people passing by the road side, that will notice  there is a school here, 
"we also need to bring out their voices and have a sense of belongings and have opportunities to present the problems they are going through so that we would be able to amplify for them, that's why we are celebrating with this young girls"
She further expressed that, "we have the culture of only girls child go to school for sometimes before she gets marriage we want to see a girl going to school and retained from primary to secondary up to tertiary education",
"the world now is where everyone need to be educated, even if she would not work she will be knowledge and be able to take care of her self and her family to be able to understand what the world is all about" She said.
While in their separate remarks the chairman school Parent Teacher Association Abdullahi Hayatu, says they appreciated the gesture and recognition by J4PD as one of the community that would benefit from their efforts as part of social responsibility.
Hardo Abarshi, also a community leader expressed gratitude with the group giant stride for remembering Barangada community saying he don't know the kind words to appreciate journalist for public health initiative and development.
Mahommad Adamu Jibrin, Chairman School Base Management Committee SBMC Barangada PRI Sch. BH further stated. "we don't have chairs we don't have fences as well as water sanitation and hygiene, we are battling with so many issues of life, we need the state government to come to our aid and improve our community base schools.
In his remark the NUJ Chairman Umar Sa'idu represented by Nasiru Shu'aibu a journalist says this initiative for changing the narratives of girls child education to have sense of ownership and control for the betterment of the entire school, especially in the areas of protection of the girls, and the security of the entire place parent and school management and SBMC should ensure that, 
Highlights of the visit was the distribution of learning materials to the Barangada primary school girls child by the journalist for public health initiative and development J4PD.
