Education Receives Boost, as Mrs. Egbetokun Commissioned POWA Children Model School in Sum

In her effort to rejuvenate and support the education transformation in rural communities the wive of the inspector general of police IGP Dr. Mrs Elizabeth Egbetokun commissioned two model children school and police secondary school in Sum, Bogoro local government area of Bauchi state.

The gathering represents a substantial step forward in enhancing educational opportunities and empowering communities, particularly in rural areas. Mrs. Egbetokun emphasised the significance of the model school, which aims to ensure access to quality education for children while generating employment opportunities for local residents. “Our goal is to bridge the educational gap and prepare our children to become the future leaders of our society,” she remarked.

The ceremony attracted a wide array of dignitaries, including prominent government officials, traditional rulers, religious figures, and representatives from various ethnic groups. Their attendance highlighted a collective commitment to grassroots development and the empowerment of women and children.

Dr. Mrs Elizabeth reaffirmed her dedication to social development and the importance of prioritising people in leadership roles. “It brings me immense joy to support initiatives that focus on enhancing human welfare this is the true responsibility of every leader,” she said

Hundreds of women received essential resources, including grinding machines, refrigerators, bags of rice, flour, and other support items, showcasing POWA’s commitment to sustainable empowerment strategies.

The community of Bogoro LGA, particularly its women and youth, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Mrs Elizabeth and her husband, the Inspector General of Police. Local leaders described this gesture as a profound display of compassion and a significant contribution to nation-building, offering blessings for the couple's ongoing service to the community.
