We Assured of Changing Narratives, Through Partnership with NIPR--NEDC

The North East Development Commission NEDC has assured that through constant collaboration with the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations NIPR the nation would change for the better in so many ways, especially in the northeast sub-region
Managing Mirector/CEO of the Commission, Alh. Mohammed Goni Alkali stated this on Thursday shortly after receiving award of excellence bestowed on him by the Bauchi State Chapter of the NIPR at the Annual AGM/Conference 2024 held at the command guest-in Bauchi, after identifying the commission’s efforts in revolutionising the region with infrustractural development in different sectors of human endeavor
The MD says they are on course to change the narratives through developmental activities and humanitarian services as well as socio-economic well being of the people to their door steps in the northeast zone of the country
Goni Alkali, who was ably represented by the commission's Head of Corporate Services, Mallam Abba Musa at the occasion, said that he dedicated the Award to the people of the northeast sub-region, further assured of strong partnership with the institute at both Bauchi state and national levels.
Also the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations has decorated the Emir of Bauchi Alh. Dr. Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu as Honorary Fellow of the institute for the fatherly advise always accorded them, in fastracking the commission's role to maintain and sustain the tempo in all its activities in the zone
Speaking, during the AGM/Conference Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed observed that the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has not only consolidated its position as the premier umbrella for the practice of public relations in Nigeria, but has also taken a major steps in projecting a positive image for the country to the outside World.
The Governor who was represented by the State Secretary to the Government, Barrister Ibrahim Kassim Mohammed, noted that the institute has through its various programmes, advocacy efforts and professional engagements, contributed immensely in enhancing Nigerian reputation and expelling negative stereotypes, and showcasing the rich cultural diversity in entrepreneurship spirit to Nigerian people.
The NIPR’s Honorary Fellowship is the highest honour reserved for individuals who have exceled in their fields of endeavour to make significant contributions to the advancement of the Public Relations profession in Nigeria and beyond.
