The executive chairman Barrister Jibrin Ibrahim, Yola north local government area of Adamawa state has emphasized zero-tolerance policy for violence during and after the plan nationwide protest on 1st August 2024
He stated this in a statement released issued to journalists through Ibrahim Abubakar Jimeta of Information and Public Enlightenment to urged protest organizers and stakeholders to ensure that Yola North remains peaceful.
During a meeting at the Yola Secretariat with protest organizers, civil society groups, and security personnel, the chairman highlighted that while protesting is a constitutional right in Nigeria,
He further warned that any actions disrupting the peace in Yola North will not be tolerated.
He stressed the importance of maintaining peace and harmony, aiming to set a positive example for other regions in Adamawa State and Nigeria.
