OF:House Committee Puts Away Insinuations, Commends NEDC Projects in Bauchi

The house of representative has dismissed insinuation on alleged lopsided Northeast Development Commission projects execution in the northeastern region, and commended the leadership of the commission for transparent and accountability in managing it's affairs without any favour between the benefiting states of the region.
The house committee members made the statement in Bauchi state after an oversight visit to a certain the level of execution of projects that would touch the life of an ordinary citizens
The committee chairman who lead the team Honorable Usman Zanna also
urged the commission to think outside the box to raise more funding in collaboration with the national assembly for the execution of various projects that would always impacted to the less privilege communities in the zone
According to the members they were impressed by the built of mega schools to help reduce number of out of school children in the region, and the provision of infrustracture at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital, renovations of Mechanical buildings and Theater Hall of the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi
However, the national assembly reiterated their determination to get the firsthand information on federal government projects, puts together by the NEDC, as part of their constitutional mandate to ensure transparency and accountability.
The managing director of the commission Mohammed Goni Alkali, said they are working in collaboration with relevant stakeholders and would make sure they deliver any project in good time for the benefit of all.
This mega school project interns of physical structure is 80% completion but you know "we can't built such structure and leave it like this, there some finishing touches inters of fittings and furnitures and by the grace of God in the next few months we are going to hand over the projects to the state government".
"We are going to put strategy on how this project will be maintained not only here is going to be across all northeast there is going to kind of MoU between us and the state government".
However, the house committee visited other project sites in different stages of completion in other institutions of learning across the state, while some other structure are already renovated including the state permanent office of the northeast development commission
