ATBU Debunked Rumours on Closer of Academic Activities Over N60m Electricity Debt

The Management of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi has debunked rumours making round that the institution will close down academic activities due to inability to settle electricity bills worth sixty million naira N60m published through an international media Deutsch Welle DW Hausa service on their social media platform
The Directorate of Information and Public Relations of the institution Zailani Bappa, disclosed this through a press release signed and issued to journalists in Bauchi on Tuesday.
The director continue that, "the attention of the Management of the University is drawn to an fabricated news credited to the DW (Hausa) on where it mentioned that ATBU may close down due to economic hardship"
"The management of the University categorically debunk this story from whatever source it was generated, In fact, nobody spoke to DW on behalf of the University nor issued out any information to that medium in this regard".
However, the management stressed that, the public is therefore, requested to be wary of Information shared in the name of the University without authentic source.
