Bauchi is Among the Ten Pilot States to Establish Special Intervention Squad-- IGP

The Inspector General of Police IGP Kayode Egbetokun has Identified Bauchi as one of the ten piloting states for the establishment of Special Intervention Squad (SIS) to address lingering security challenges throughout the country
The SIS is a new security initiative introduce by the IGP in a quest to effectively respond to all forms of crime and criminality across all regions
IGP Kayode Egbetokun who made this at government House during a one day working visit to the state as part of effort to deals with crime and criminality
Egbetokun noted that the state was chosen in view of it strategic advantage in addressing security challenges in northern parts of the country.
He commended Governor Bala Mohammed for providing all the needed supports to activities of the Nigerian Police force in Bauchi state
Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed while responding described the IGP's intervention as commendable assured the support of his administration towards the success of all initiatives aimed at protecting lives and properties of the citizenry
Bala further explained that the state is enjoying relative peace and urged the security to make sure that peace is maintain throughout the communities and beyond
He appeal to the IG to continue supporting the Bauchi state police command with state of the art facilities to enhanced operations which is obtainable globally
