SAZU Dissociate Linkage with Fake Admission Letters in Circulation

By Adamu IMAM Bauchi

The attention of the Management of Sa’adu Zungur University (SAZU), Bauchi has been drawn to fraudulent activities by impostors who are circulating fake admission letters in the name of the University.

Specifically, a document titled “Provisional Letter of Admission into Bauchi State University, Gadau, Bauchi State for the 2025/2026 Session” has been falsely linked with Sa’adu Zungur University (SAZU) to mislead unsuspecting applicants.
This was disclosed by the Public Relations Officer of the University Auwal Hassan, and made copies to Journalists on Saturday.

The management of the institution wishes to categorically stated that, Sa’adu Zungur University (SAZU), Bauchi is a distinct institution and should not be confused with Bauchi State University, Gadau (BASUG). Fraudsters are deliberately exploiting this similarity to deceive candidates.

The statement revealed that, Admission into SAZU is conducted only through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) and the University’s official portal. And the University has not released any admission letters for the 2025/2026 Academic Session outside the official channels.

However, they further stressed that, any demand for payment of fees (such as so-called “acceptance fees”) to unauthorized persons or accounts is fraudulent and must be disregarded.

The University urges prospective students, parents, and guardians to confirm all admission offers through JAMB CAPS and the SAZU admissions office as well.

And to report any suspicious communications, letters, or requests for payment to the University’s Security Unit or the nearest law enforcement agency.

Therefore, the management assured working closely with security agencies to identify and prosecute those involved in these fraudulent activities, and advised people to always use the official website of the institution to avoid being victims.
