JUST IN: Jafar Ilela Akoma Gona, Wakilin Sadarwan Bauchi is Dead

Bauchi state government has announced the Sudden death of Alhaji Abubakar Jafar Ilela, Akoma Gona, Wakilin Sadarwan Bauchi dies on Tuesday the 22nd of July 2025, after a brief illness.

This was disclosed and confirmed to press in a statement singned and released by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the state governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, Mukhtar Gidado on Tuesday.

BAUCHI STATE GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES THE SUDDEN DEATH OF ALHAJI ABUBAKAR JAFAR ILELA ( WAKILIN SADARWAN BAUCHI )

The Bauchi State Government regrets to announce the sudden and painful demise of Alhaji Abubakar Jafar Ilelah, the Wakilin Sadarwan Bauchi, who passed away today, Tuesday, 22nd July 2025, after a brief illness.

Until his death, the late Alhaji Abubakar Jafar Ilelah was recently appointed as the Senior Special Assistant to His Excellency, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, on Public Enlightenment. He was a respected Public Relations icon and a grassroots mobilizer, and a dedicated public servant whose contributions to the development of Bauchi State, particularly in community engagement and enlightenment, will surely be remembered .

In a message of condolence, His Excellency, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, on behalf of his family, the government, and the good people of Bauchi State, expressed profound sadness and his deepest commiseration over this great loss. He described the late Wakilin Sadarwan Bauchi as a committed patriot, a man of honour, and a bridge-builder whose wisdom and service will be sorely missed.

The Governor prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased’s soul and prayed that Almighty Allah will grant his family, the Ilelah clan, the Bauchi Emirate Council, the Media family and the entire people of Bauchi State the fortitude to bear the loss.

The remains of Alhaji Abubakar Jafar Ilelah will be laid to rest tomorrow, Wednesday, 23rd July 2025, at the Emir of Bauchi’s Palace by 9:00am in accordance with Islamic rites.
