Gov. Agbu Kefas of Taraba, Includes 2 Journalists as New Aides, Strengthening Ties with Media

Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has appointed two seasoned journalists to key roles in his administration. Justin Tyopuusu, of The Punch, will serve as Special Adviser on Digital Economy, while Janet Audu, Daily Independent correspondent, will be Senior Special Assistant on Food Distribution.
The appointments were announced in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of the State, Chief Gebon T. Kataps. According to the statement, the governor has approved the portfolios of the new appointees, who are expected to bring their expertise to bear in their respective roles.
Tyopuusu and Audu are not new to the Taraba State government beat. Before their appointments, Tyopuusu was the Taraba State Correspondent of The Punch newspaper, while Audu was the State Correspondent of the Daily Independent newspaper.
Their experience and knowledge of the state's politics and governance are expected to be valuable assets in their new roles.
The appointments have been hailed as a welcome development by stakeholders in the state, who believe that the journalists' expertise will help to promote transparency and accountability in government.
