2027: GANDUJE 'SECRETLY' ENDORSED SENATOR BARAU JIBRIN FOR KANO GOVERNORSHIP
In his speech while addressing a high powered team of the APC's Local Government women leaders in the last couple of days, the former Governor of Kano State and the immediate past acting national chairman of the APC H.E Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in his house praised Senator Barau Jibrin to the sky where he said and I quote;
"He distinguished Senator Barau Jibrin is the deputy president of the senate who happens to be the fifth person in terms of hierarchy of power/precedence in Nigeria. And that anybody who does not support him or utters any vituperative word (s) against him (Sen. Barau Jibrin) is unequivocallly against us."
That statement made by Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has put kibosh on the dastardly act of some misguided/misinformed people within the APC going to the radio/TV stations and the social media to create unnecessary confusion within the party in Kano.
Now that the political lion has roared, the political antelopes must keep their dirty mouths closed or go into hiding.
You must not like or support Senator Barau Jibrin or Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna but you should speak no evil of anyone of them.
One is at liberty to x-ray these two political bigwigs i.e Senator Barau Jibrin and Alhaji Nasiru Gawuna in terms of their political worthiness and the public acceptability each one of them is being accorded by the electorate in Kano State and make his or her right choice based on his or her findings.
The reason why Senator Barau Jibrin has an edge over the incumbent Governor of Kano State Abba Kabir Yusuf, Alhaji Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna and other power-thirsty politicians dreaming of throwing their hats in the ring for Kano governorship in 2027 is that as a bonafidé political acolyte/disciple of late Dr. Muhammadu Abubakar Rimi he always touches base with the grassroots.
Unlike other good-for-nothing politicians who employ devious strategems to win election, Senator Barau Jibrin rides on the back of his longstanding character traits to win election which includes his love for humanity, his act of generosity and his sheer love for Kano State which is unmatched by any politician eyeing Kano governorship seat in 2027.
Senator Barau I. Jibrin doesn't segregate against any senatorial district or any Local Government in Kano that is why if you go to any Local Government in Kano State different from his own local government of origin (Kabo) you will be piggy in the middle to accurately compare and contrast the love he enjoys in Gwale and Nasarawa Local Governments in Kano central senatorial district or the one he enjoys in Takai or Wudil Local Governments in Kano south senatorial district with the one he enjoys in anyone of the fourteen Local Governments in Kano north senatorial district.
Senator Barau Jibrin's helping hand is visible in every close-knit community in Kano State several years before he was elected into any political office using the profits he was making from his well-established businesses in virtually every part of the country.
I guess, this is why Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is clandestinely opting for Senator Barau Jibrin as the man to fly the party's flag in Kano come 2027 so that the same political calamity that befell APC in Kano in 2023 won't repeat itself.
